What it's actually like to live with
The Zephyr is the BLDC fan to buy when you want the electricity savings without crossing Rs 2,500. At that price, it undercuts every Atomberg model by Rs 200 to Rs 1,200 depending on which you compare it to, and it still delivers a real BEE 5-star BLDC motor. Air delivery at 215 CMM is roughly 6 percent lower than the Ameza, which is noticeable only in rooms above 160 square feet.
In a standard 120 square foot bedroom, the difference is invisible. The anti-dust coating on the blades actually works - after six months of use, blade dust accumulation is meaningfully less than on uncoated Atomberg blades. That reduces quarterly cleaning effort and keeps airflow consistent longer.
The trade-off is brand maturity. Longway is a smaller player than Atomberg, so after-sales service in tier 2 cities like Indore, Patna, or Ranchi can be slower. In Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, or any metro, the service gap is minimal because authorized technicians cover all BLDC brands.
For a 3-fan installation in a metro home, buying three Zephyrs saves Rs 1,200 to Rs 3,600 upfront versus Atomberg without sacrificing real BLDC savings.
