What it's actually like to live with
The Symphony Diet 12T is proof that good cooling does not need to break the bank.
At Rs 4,700-6,500, this little tower cooler punches well above its price. The honeycomb pads are a pleasant surprise at this budget - most coolers under Rs 5,000 use basic aspen wood shavings that dry out fast.
The i-Pure air purification filter catches dust, which is genuinely useful in dusty North Indian cities during pre-monsoon months. The tower form factor is the real selling point here. This fits in a hostel room corner, on a desk beside you while working from home, or in a tiny PG accommodation where a traditional boxy cooler would eat up half the floor space.
At 142 watts, it costs almost nothing to run.
The honest limitation is the 12-litre tank - you are refilling every 4-5 hours, which means it will not last through a full night. And the 120 sq ft coverage means this is strictly a personal cooler aimed right at you, not the room.
For students, bachelors, or anyone working from home in a small room, this is the best value Symphony makes.
Just do not expect it to cool your parents' living room.
