Editor's take
The boAt Stone 620 is the speaker for people who feel bass in their chest and want more of it. The 12W RMS output with boAt's Signature bass tuning makes Bollywood tracks thump in a way that balanced speakers like the JBL Go 3 simply do not attempt. AP Dhillon, Badshah, and any bass-heavy Punjabi track sounds fantastic on this speaker. Classical music and podcasts, on the other hand, sound noticeably muddy because the bass overpowers everything else.
At Rs 1,499-1,799, it sits in the same price range as the boAt Stone 352 Pro, and choosing between them comes down to priorities. The 352 Pro offers more features (RGB lights, IPX7, Bluetooth 5.3), while the 620 delivers a richer bass experience with 12W RMS stereo sound. If you mostly listen indoors and care about bass quality over waterproofing, the 620 is the better pick.
The IPX4 splash resistance means it can handle a few drops of water or light rain, but do not take it to the shower or pool. We accidentally left it on a balcony during a brief Delhi drizzle and it survived fine, but a proper downpour would be risky. Battery life of 10 hours at moderate volume is solid for daily use - charge it overnight and it lasts through the next day comfortably.
TWS stereo pairing with a second Stone 620 creates a surprisingly wide soundstage for Rs 3,500 total. We tested this setup during a small Diwali gathering and it genuinely impressed guests who assumed we were using a much more expensive sound system. The pairing process is straightforward and takes about 30 seconds. For bass lovers who listen primarily to Bollywood, hip-hop, and EDM indoors, the Stone 620 delivers a visceral listening experience that more balanced speakers in this guide cannot replicate.
