What it's actually like to live with
The LEVOIT Core Mini has earned its reputation as the go-to compact purifier globally, and it holds up well in Indian conditions. At Rs 4,999, you get an H13 True HEPA filter that captures 99.95% of particles at 0.1 microns - the same medical grade used in much larger purifiers costing 3-4 times more.
What sets the Core Mini apart is its practical design for Indian homes. The ultra-compact footprint fits on a desk, bookshelf, or nightstand without dominating the space. The three-speed fan runs at just 25 dB on low - quieter than a whisper, which matters when running it overnight in a small bedroom.
The built-in aromatherapy pad is a thoughtful touch - add a drop of essential oil and the purifier doubles as a gentle diffuser. For PG rooms and hostel rooms where cooking and neighborhood odors seep in, this is genuinely useful.
The main limitation is coverage. At 183 sq ft, the Core Mini is strictly for personal zones - one bedroom, one study room, or a car cabin. Do not expect it to handle a living room. For its intended use case, though, it delivers filtration quality that matches purifiers costing Rs 15,000+, just in a smaller package.
