Editor's Take
What it's actually like to live with
TP-Link clearly studied Indian socket plates before designing the Tapo P110. It is noticeably smaller than the Wipro 16A and Crabtree, which means it actually fits on a standard Indian double-socket plate without blocking the adjacent outlet. For apartment kitchens and bedrooms where every socket matters, this alone justifies the Rs 1,299 price.
The energy analytics are the other standout. Two years of historical data with bill prediction means you can track seasonal patterns - how much more your AC costs in May versus October, for example.
The child safety shutters are a practical touch for Indian homes where kids are always poking at things. Build quality feels premium in hand, as you would expect from TP-Link's networking hardware background.
The Tapo app is responsive and well-designed, though it does require you to be in the Tapo ecosystem.
If you already use Kasa devices, the migration is slightly annoying.
For new buyers setting up a smart home from scratch, the Tapo P110 offers the best combination of compact design and serious energy tracking.
