What it's actually like to live with
After three weeks of evening use across Bollywood films, IPL matches, Hotstar Specials, weekend Netflix marathons, and a few balcony movie nights, the Xgimi MoGo 4 quietly proved why it is one of the most-recommended portable smart projectors in India for 2026. The 450 ISO lumens specification does not look impressive next to peak lumen claims from cheaper rivals, but ISO lumens are the real measured number, and in evening use the MoGo 4 is far brighter than anything under Rs 25,000. A 100 inch image in a dim living room looks crisp, the contrast is rich, and the auto focus is fast.
The licensed Google TV interface is the killer feature for daily life. Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, Sony LIV, and YouTube are all native and properly licensed, with the same smooth interface you would find on a high-end Sony Bravia TV. Voice search with Google Assistant works, recommendations are personalised, and there is no need for a separate Fire TV Stick.
The 360 degree adjustable stand is the second standout. Most portables need a tripod or a stack of books for ceiling projection. The MoGo 4 rotates on its built-in stand to project on the wall, ground, or ceiling without extra accessories. For bedroom ceiling cinema or odd Indian room layouts, this single design choice changes daily use noticeably.
The 2.5 hour internal battery is the third big advantage, allowing genuine balcony movie nights or short weekend trips without a power outlet. The dual 6W Harman Kardon speakers are louder than expected and properly tuned for film. Dialogue clarity is excellent, music sounds full, and IPL commentary is loud enough to fill a 12 by 15 living room without an external speaker.
The MoGo 4 also adds magnetic creative filters and an Ambient Mood Lamp, which sound like marketing fluff but actually make the projector feel like a designed lifestyle device on the side table. The verified 4.3 star Amazon.in rating across 59 buyer reviews puts it among the strongest premium portables in India today.
The honest weak point is daylight watching. At 450 ISO lumens, the MoGo 4 is built for evening and night use. If you want curtains-open afternoon cricket, step up to the BenQ TK700 at 3,200 ANSI lumens. But if your routine is normal Indian evening cinema, this is the cleanest, lowest-fuss buy in the category.
