What it's actually like to live with
The Renesa Elite Smart is a clever product for a very specific Indian use case - new apartments where you are still deciding on light fixtures. The integrated Moonbeam LED provides enough ambient light for a bedroom, so you can skip installing a separate ceiling light altogether. That saves you Rs 500-1,500 on fixtures plus electrician charges, effectively making the fan cheaper than it appears.
The catch is that the LED and fan are tied together - you cannot turn the light on without the fan running, which is annoying in winter months. At 35W it draws slightly more power than the 28W Renesa Smart+, but that is still a fraction of what old-school fans consume. The transparent diffuser looks surprisingly premium for the price, especially in the contrast colour variants.
WiFi setup and app experience mirror the Renesa Smart+ since they share the same Atomberg Home app.
For bedrooms in 2-3 BHK apartments where you want smart fan plus light in one fixture at the lowest possible cost, this is hard to beat.
