What it's actually like to live with
The ILIFE T20s Pro is the product that made us rethink what Rs 16,999 can buy in 2026. A self-emptying robot vacuum with 6,500Pa suction and LDS laser navigation at this price was simply not available in India even a year ago. We tested it in a Chennai 2BHK with ceramic tile floors, and the cleaning performance genuinely rivalled robots costing Rs 25,000 or more.
The 6,500Pa suction cleared everyday dust, rice grains near the dining table, and fine sand tracked in from the terrace. The self-emptying dock stored 10 weeks of dust without intervention - not the 90 days the Dreame offers, but honestly, emptying a dock once every two and a half months is hardly inconvenient.
The LDS navigation mapped our test home accurately and cleaned in efficient straight lines rather than random patterns. The simultaneous vacuum-plus-mop covered dry and wet cleaning in a single pass. Now for the reality check - ILIFE is not a household name in India the way Eureka Forbes or even Xiaomi is. Service centres exist primarily in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
If you live in a tier-2 city like Jaipur or Lucknow, getting warranty repairs could mean shipping the unit and waiting. The build quality feels adequate but not premium - the plastic has a slightly cheaper feel compared to ECOVACS or Dreame. The dock dust bags are thinner and may need more careful handling.
But here is the value calculation that makes this our top value pick - a part-time domestic helper in metro cities costs Rs 4,000-5,000 per month.
At Rs 16,999, this robot pays for itself in under four months.
For budget-conscious buyers in major metros with reliable ILIFE service, this is the smartest money-to-performance ratio in the entire segment.
