What it's actually like to live with
If you are an iPhone and HomePod household in India, the WiZ Neo Gen 3 is essentially your only option for HomeKit-compatible false ceiling lighting - and thankfully, it is a good one. Native Siri control means you can say 'Hey Siri, dim the bedroom lights to 30%' and it works instantly through HomeKit, with none of the cloud-routing lag that Alexa and Google sometimes introduce.
The Gen 3 slim profile fits flush with modern Indian false ceilings, looking far cleaner than the bulkier Gen 2. Bluetooth backup ensures the light responds even when WiFi drops.
The circadian rhythm modes are well-implemented, automatically adjusting colour temperature through the day. The downsides are real though - at Rs 1,900-2,600, you are paying an Apple tax for HomeKit support that Android users get no benefit from. The 10% minimum dimming limitation persists from the Prime Neo. Customer service through Signify India can be slow, with response times stretching to days for non-urgent queries.
For Apple households, this is a no-brainer.
For everyone else, the Prime Neo delivers better value.
