What it's actually like to live with
At Rs 300-500 with a B22 base, the Syska 7W removes every barrier to trying smart lighting - no adapter needed, no significant cost commitment, just screw it in and connect. The problem is the 480 lumens brightness, which is genuinely too dim for any room where it would be the primary light source. It works for accent lighting in corridors, pooja rooms, or as a secondary bedroom light for mood setting.
The colour options are more limited than full 16-million-colour competitors, and the app is basic with occasional stability hiccups. Alexa integration works but can be slow to respond.
Where this bulb makes sense is as a tester - if you have never used a smart bulb and want to see what the fuss is about without spending Rs 1,000-plus, the Syska gets you started.
Just manage your expectations. It is not going to replace your main room light, and the app experience will not impress you.
For a pooja room that you want to automate with warm lighting on a schedule, or a corridor that needs a soft glow at night, it does the job at the lowest possible price.
