What it's actually like to live with
The Wipro NS9400 hits a sweet spot that few smart bulbs manage - genuine party-level features at a price that does not make you think twice about buying four or five for a room. The music sync is the headline feature and it works surprisingly well, pulsing colours in time with Bollywood tracks during Diwali parties or Holi celebrations. It is not perfectly precise - there is a slight lag on fast beats - but the overall effect is impressive for the price.
Wipro being an Indian brand with pan-India service is a real advantage; if something goes wrong, you can actually reach someone. The E27 base requiring a B22 adapter is annoying and adds Rs 50-100 per bulb.
The Wipro Smart app is functional but basic - do not expect the polish of the Tapo app. Some users report WiFi disconnections, especially with older routers, and reconnecting can require a power cycle.
For the price though, these are acceptable trade-offs.
If you want to transform your living room for a house party without spending thousands, grab a few NS9400s and let the music sync do its thing.
